Potential Day 2 Prospects

Hjalte Froholdt, OG, Jr.

Froholdt is the top draft prospect on my radar from Arkansas. He was named 3rd Team All-SEC in his sophomore season and now, with Frank Ragnow in the NFL, he will take over as the leader of the offensive line. As of now, I have Froholdt safely in the 2nd or 3rd round of the 2019 or 2020 draft.

De’Jon “Scoota” Harris, ILB, Jr.

Scoota Harris is the best player on the Arkansas defense and he has plenty of size to play in the NFL. My initial impression is that he has enough athleticism to stay on the field in 3rd down coverage situations. I think a 3rd round projection seems fair at this time.

Potential Day 3 Prospects

McTelvin Agim, DT, Jr.

Agim may be pegged exclusively as a 3-technique in a 4-3. He doesn’t have the frame to play 3-4 DE and I don’t think he’s tall enough either. These factors are going to limit his draft potential to Day 3 at best, but he is an exciting player at the NCAA level.

Brian Wallace, OL, Sr.

Wallace is the starter at right tackle, but he has the frame to kick inside to either guard spot at the next level. He will be an interesting Day 3 option for a team in need of a versatile backup.

Santos Ramirez, SS, Sr.

Ramirez is the leader of the Arkansas secondary, but he will probably have to prove he can become a core special teams player in order to make an NFL roster. He is likely a free agent.

Devwah Whaley, RB, Jr.

Whaley has the frame to be a short yardage back. His former running mate, David Williams, was drafted by the Broncos this season so he may be in for a bigger workload. Overall, I don’t think Whaley contributes enough to the passing game to find his way into Day 3.

Future Prospects

De’Vion Warren, RS, So.

Warren is a receiver, but he made a big impact as a kick returner last year. After averaging 26.4 yards per return, Warren will hope that kickoffs still exist by the time he’s eligible for the draft. The very early thought on him is that he looks to be a possible option somewhere on Day 3 in 2021.
